Escaping (Un-)Democratic Deadlock - A game-based, innovative seminar
With the help of a game-based, innovative seminar, teachers from the Department of Political Science at the University of Basel, together with the Seminar for Scientific Politics from Freiburg, want to get to the bottom of the question of how the EU and the Council of Europe should deal with their member states with anti-democratic tendencies. The seminar wants to provide answers on how a democratic deadlock can be prevented and how stability, security and peace in Europe can be secured. Within the framework of the planned seminar, the students will receive the scientific basics in a first theoretical part, which they can then apply in a second step during an Escape Game. The project is managed by the University of Basel and carried out in cooperation with the University of Freiburg. It is supported by Eucor – The European Campus in the “Teaching” category of the Seed Money funding instrument.
