From 7 July to 10 July 2025, doctoral candidates explored the topic “Urban Micropollutants - diagnoses, challenges and solutions for the city of the 21st century.” in the Rhine region as part of the Eucor Summer School. In groups, they intensively worked on diagnosis, trajectories, governance and tools.

Eucor Sustainability Day

Sustainability in a box – How we developed a project for plant-based nutrition in one week
‘Let's think beyond the bin’ This was the motto of the international Eucor and EPICUR conference, which brought together 23 students from over ten countries as part of the Sustainability Week in Basel. Together, they developed new perspectives on sustainable consumption.

Exchange day on sustainability in research laboratories
Researchers and laboratory staff from the universities of Freiburg and Strasbourg met in Freiburg in the framework of Eucor's focus area Sustainability. The aim of the meeting was to encourage interdisciplinary exchange on sustainable practices in research laboratories.

Call for Applications: Gen-Q invites applications for 51 doctoral positions
The new international doctoral programme in quantum science and technologies “Gen-Q” invites applications for 51 doctoral positions. These are located at the Eucor Universities of Basel, Freiburg, Haute-Alsace, Strasbourg and at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology as well as at the Universitites of Amsterdam and Poznań.

Building bridges for the future of the region: Meeting of Eucor cities in Strasbourg
On 2 June 2025, the third meeting of Eucor cities took place at Strasbourg. On this occasion, the presidents of the five Eucor universities and the mayors of their head cities and of the conurbations concerned met to develop common perspectives for the Upper Rhine region.
