Cross-Border Education Grant

Cross-Border Education Grant 2024

The Cross-Border Education Grant of the University of Basel is intended to support cooperation projects in teaching within the trinational university network Eucor – The European Campus, which, in addition to the University of Basel, includes the universities of Freiburg, Strasbourg, Haute-Alsace and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Funding is available for innovative bi- and tri-national courses in the fall semester 2024 and spring semester 2025.

Sustainable Eucor Cities?

In February, around 20 students from different disciplines at the Eucor universities of Strasbourg, Freiburg and Basel worked together intensively on the state of sustainable development in their cities in a hybrid block course at the University of Basel in which they organised city walks by students for students. The results of the course are sustainable urban explorations in the three cities or so-called SDG Walks.

Prof. Andrea Schenker-Wicki is re-elected as President of Eucor – The European Campus

The assembly of rectors/presidents of the member universities of Eucor – The European Campus re-elected Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Andrea Schenker-Wicki, President of the University of Basel, as President of Eucor on Monday 11 December 2023. Prof. Dr. Thomas Hirth, Vice-President of Transfer and International Affairs of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) was also confirmed in office. The president’s and her deputy’s term in office is three years.
