All study programmes at a glance
What can you study at the universities on the European Campus? Now you can easily find out online in the joint courses overview of Eucor – The European Campus. Charlotte Tavernier from the Université de Strasbourg, as Commissioner of the Mobility and Academics Project at the European Campus, coordinated the development of the overview among the universities.
What is the courses overview of the European Campus?
Charlotte Tavernier: The online course catalogue lists all bachelor’s and master’s degree courses offered by the Universities of Freiburg, Haute-Alsace and Strasbourg and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Unfortunately, it has not yet been possible to integrate the courses of study offered by the University of Basel. However, a link on our website refers to the courses offered by the University of Basel. The overview shows very impressively the diversity and also the complementarity of the study programmes offered at the European Campus. The bundling on one platform simplifies the search for a suitable course of study. It is no longer necessary to search through different websites. Instead, everyone can find specific information on one website.
For whom is the online catalogue of particular interest?
CT: I see three target groups, for whom our tool makes their research much easier. On the one hand, there are international students from all over the world, who can get information about our courses of study. Secondly, our own students (all students who are enrolled at one of the member universities of Eucor – The European Campus) benefit from the overview: If you would like to take advantage of the Eucor mobility and take courses at one of the other universities as part of your own studies, you can get an idea of the subjects and study opportunities available here. And last but not least, bachelor students are interested in searching for a suitable master’s programme in the region.
How can I properly use the online overview?
CT: That depends on what you’re looking for. If you are looking for ideas, you can use the catalogue as a list and get an impression of what is available. If you already know where you want to study, you can search the overview by discipline, number of semesters, university or language. What is special is that we take the international aspect into account. For example, international programmes or courses with double degrees are clearly marked.
The course catalogue was drawn up as part of the Interreg project “Eucor – The European Campus: Cross-border structures” and co-financed by the European Union.
