Communication in a multilingual and pluricultural context
The doctoral program “Communication in Multilingual and Pluricultural Contexts” is a trinational program for young researchers at the Université de Strasbourg, the joint Institute for Educational Sciences (IBW) of the University of Basel and the FHNW, the University of Education Karlsruhe and the University of Koblenz-Landau. The fields of investigation of the trinational doctoral program include cross-border field research projects in schools, companies and institutions. The PhD students will explore the national epistemological traditions of the three educational and research contexts Germany, France and Switzerland. In the participating regions, multilingualism and pluriculturalism are recognized research areas. However, there are few joint cross-border research projects in this field, both in terms of topics and methodology. Here, the trinational doctoral program tries to close gaps and provide new research impulses.
