The trinational biotechnology programme is jointly run by the Eucor universities of Strasbourg, Freiburg and Basel, as well as Offenburg University of Applied Sciences. Students receive interdisciplinary training in biotechnology. The language of instruction is usually English. Classes are held predominantly at the École Supérieure de Biotechnologie de Strasbourg (ESBS), which is part of the University of Strasbourg. Parts of the curriculum, mainly practical courses, are offered in blocks (totalling 14 weeks) at the partner institutions in Freiburg, Offenburg and Basel.

This three-year engineering degree at ESBS provides in-depth specialist knowledge across all areas of modern biotechnology and combines this with practice-oriented teaching. It offers early contact with industry and thus creates excellent career prospects. It provides a solid foundation in the natural sciences and engineering, and fosters interdisciplinary skills in business, communication and languages.
