Biotechnology
A public engineering school affiliated with the University of Strasbourg and accredited by the CTI*, the École supérieure de biotechnologie de Strasbourg (ESBS) has been training engineers and scientists for over 40 years, focusing on key issues in biotechnology. Located in the Upper Rhine Valley, the ESBS operates within an academic and industrial ecosystem of excellence, with a strong international dimension. It welcomes French and international students onto its engineering and Master’s programmes, designed to meet the scientific, industrial and societal challenges of tomorrow.
As a tri-national institution, ESBS places emphasis on diversity in recruitment, work-study programmes, international student mobility, as well as foreign language learning (German & English). Thus, our extensive network and our geographical proximity to industry players in the sector and research laboratories enable students to access high-quality opportunities in line with their career plans.
In 2018, the Franco-German Master’s programme in Biotechnology was established in partnership with the universities of Freiburg and Offenburg (Germany) and Basel (Switzerland). The three complementary specialisations within this programme, High-Throughput Analysis, Synthetic Biology and Biomedicines: Design and Production, which are aimed at a diverse range of candidates with a view to developing advanced scientific and technical skills, directly linked to the rapid developments in biotechnology.
Course offer:
- Engineering degree in Biotechnology
- Engineering degree in Chemistry and Biotechnology
- Master’s degree in Biotechnology : High-Throughput Analysis / Biopharmaceuticals: Design and production / Synthetic biology
