Eucor – The European Campus has now been operating for ten years in the special legal form of a European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC). As the first EGTC to be established exclusively by universities, Eucor set a milestone at European level in 2016.
What is an EGTC? The aim of an EGTC is to facilitate and promote territorial cooperation across national borders in order to strengthen cohesion within Europe. Eucor does this in a particularly distinctive way and is regarded as a pioneering model for cross-border cooperation in research, teaching and knowledge transfer.
To mark the anniversary, Eucor and its member universities are hosting a wide range of events that look back on Eucor’s development, celebrate the diversity of cross-border collaboration in the Upper Rhine region and offer an outlook on the future.
