Clim’Ability Care

Clim’Ability Care: Fostering a Rhine region culture of climate risk management in business

Clim’Ability Care follows on from two previous projects carried out under INTERREG V, namely Clim’Ability (2016–2019) and Clim’Ability Design (2019–2023). These projects were developed to support SMEs in their responses to the challenges of climate change. Over the past six years, they have highlighted the importance of such support, not only in terms of the tools and services developed in collaboration with businesses, which can be viewed on the project’s website (www.clim-ability.eu). These initiatives have helped to redefine the culture of climate risk and corporate culture.

The project brings together a consortium of committed partners, including ADEUS, the Agence du Climat, ATMO Grand Est, the CCI Alsace Eurométropole, Mayane Eau & Société, the University of Haute-Alsace, Offenburg University of Applied Sciences, the University of Freiburg, RPTU Landau, Trion-Climate, as well as associated partners such as the Landkreis Rastatt, Météo France, the Port Autonome de Strasbourg, Unistra – Jardin des Sciences, the Communauté de Communes du Val d’Argent, and the Ministry of Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture of Rhineland-Palatinate.

The European research project Clim’Ability Care is working with pilot regions to transform business parks and industrial clusters in the context of climate change, fostering a new transnational corporate culture across the Upper Rhine region. Officially launched on 3 July 2023, the project will conclude on 30 April 2026. The closing event will take place on 27 April 2026 at Les Ateliers Éclairés, Strasbourg.
