For three days, the Water Campus will develop ideas on how citizens can be involved in cross-border water issues.
Towards more innovation and precision in health
Large amounts of data and the accelerated possibilities for processing and analysing them bring new opportunities, especially in the field of medicine. In autumn 2024, two events took place for interested persons from the Eucor universities to allow discussions and foster cross-border exchange in this field.
80th anniversary of the liberation of Strasbourg
On 23 November, France celebrates the anniversary of the liberation of Strasbourg. French President Emmanuel Macron commemorates the historic event in the city and at the Université de Strasbourg together with authorities and spectators. Students and rectors from the Eucor universities are also present.

Exchange of the immunology community on the Upper Rhine
At the end of October, immunologists from the Eucor universities met in Basel to exchange ideas – including the doctoral candidates from the EURIdoc programme.

Eucor Fall School on sustainable water use on the Rhine
From 7 October to 11 October 2024, students and doctoral candidates explored the sustainable water use in the Rhine region as part of the trinational Eucor Fall School. In a policy paper, they developed recommendations for cross-border policy in the Upper Rhine region.

Experimenting with Sustainability in the city?
What opportunities do real-world experiments offer for testing solutions to sustainable development in cities, and how can they contribute to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? In early July, around a dozen students from the Eucor Universities of Basel, Karlsruhe, Freiburg and Strasbourg gathered for a hybrid block course at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). The course aimed to explore urban environments through the lens of the SDGs and to develop ideas for real-world experiments based on these insights.
