Workshop series: Feasibility Study for Offering a Solutions-Oriented Sustainability Program in Eucor
Employers increasingly seek professionals who are capable to design and implement solutions for sustainability challenges in diverse areas like energy, mobility and food systems. However, today’s sustainability programs often fall short when it comes to training graduates for supporting sustainability transformations. The Seed Money Project “Feasibility Study for Offering a Solutions-Oriented Sustainability Program in Eucor” assess the potential for developing a competency-based and solution-oriented joint sustainability program in Eucor.
In this context, four Eucor universities – the universities of Freiburg, Basel and Strasbourg and the Karlsruher Institute for Technology – organize a workshop series of three workshops to explore how they could draw together their strengths and course offerings to create a joint program that sufficiently prepares graduates for sustainability transformations.

Program:
The goal of this first workshop is to exchange knowledge on sustainability offerings at the University of Freiburg and the Karlsruher Institute for Technology, and to build a community for solutions-oriented sustainability education in Eucor.
- Breakout discussions by stakeholder group on ideas, enablers, and barriers to collaboration
- Forum to explore feasible options for collaboration
- Reception and networking
Lunch will be provided.
The ideas and possibilities learned will be carried to the following workshops at the universities of Basel and Strasbourg. The results of the workshop series will be published in a final report.
